Okay, so I recently decided that it’s high time for me to start getting back into shape. I used to be really active in high school, but I was also REALLY skinny. So my plan of attack: Eat, workout, eat again. Really what I want to do is get my endurance back up. As of 2 days ago I couldn’t even jump rope for 15 seconds straight. Okay, partially because I haven’t done it in forever and kept tripping over the rope, but mostly because I got out of breath so fast.
Wednesday I started working out at home. I bought a jump rope for cardio and am doing crunches and push ups and a lot of stretching. I’ve noticed a big difference already. I can do crunches with less effort, don’t get winded as easily, and I jumped rope for about 30 seconds today without stopping! I know, that sounds lame, but it’s twice what I could do 2 days ago.
I’ve made a deal with myself, if I can workout every day for a week, then on Wednesday I’m going to add myself to Miah’s gym membership. He goes to Snap Fitness, it’s a little crowded in there right now, but next month they’re moving to a 4,000 square foot space in the same plaza right by our house. The best part is they’re a 24 hour gym, so I can go after Summer goes to bed, or (if I get REALLY motivated) at 5am. I’m hoping to start running and biking this summer, but for now, I’m just glad I’m finally doing this.
Oh, and speaking of things I’m glad I’m doing, I should be getting my braces in June sometime. Finally!!

I hope you’re not saying that you’re not REALLY skinny now! I get the whole endurance thing, but you definatley DON’T need to loose weight. I’m hoping to get back into “shape” this summer (not that I had much of a shape before!). Elizabeth wants us to walk with our strollers (she wants to get in shape for her wedding in September). Hopefully we can keep each other motivated…

I’m not REALLY skinny now… not compared to how I was in high school. No, actually, one of my main things is trying NOT to lose any weight. I just get tired of getting out of breath when I have a long conversation.
If you don’t have the baby by the time we’re getting ready to leave we’ll go jogging. he he.
